That’s obvious. But to call yourself a Christian and to “subscribe” to Hedonism as part of your values and (or) lifestyle is contradictory. You do not have to call yourself a Hedonist in order to acknowledge you are a hypocrite, all human beings alike are multi-faceted and hedonic adaptation is part of the human experience. Hence, I called it retarded because it is to serve two masters, directly going against the bible and your commitment to faith. For Christianity itself is a set of ascetic principles. I think you just misunderstand the defining factors for each.

I think you've misunderstood me. Of course it's contradictory, like I said, I'm a hypocrite. Aside from that, I never claimed to subscribe to philosophical Hedonism. I'm assuming you came from a Rentry that said "Der/The Hedonist"? It's a TV Trope. If I call myself a hedonist, I'm using it colloquially. I'm aware that this was not written in good faith, but I'll answer it like it was. I'm a hypocrite. I love Jesus, but I am a fundamentally selfish and hypocritical person. I like to get what I want.
